Let me introduce myself …
Welcome to The Kind Gaia!
|I’m Kat and I am so happy you are here ⭐
I was first introduced to yoga at the age of 13 during school sports. One Friday afternoon, yoga was on offer, and the moment I stepped off the school bus and into the studio, I knew I had found something truly transformative. Seventeen years later, yoga continues to support me in every aspect of my life—physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
In October 2023, I deepened my connection to yoga by completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Wild Self Yoga at Riverdell Spiritual Centre in Adelaide, South Australia.
It was during one of the final meditation sessions of my training that the vision for The Kind Gaia was born. I knew it was time to leave behind my corporate career in IT and data management and fully embrace the yogic lifestyle that had shaped so much of who I am.
My journey into holistic health and well-being stems from my own experiences navigating the modern medical system. After feeling disheartened and disconnected by the care I received, I found myself searching for a more holistic approach to health—one that considers the body, mind, and spirit as interconnected elements. Yoga became my sanctuary, a way to heal and nurture myself beyond what traditional healthcare could offer. It’s this passion that drives me to share the power of yoga and well-being with others.
“The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.”
— B.K.S Iyengar
The mission of The Kind Gaia is to make yoga accessible to every body and mind. I believe that everyone is a beginner at some point, and starting at the beginning is essential. The foundational poses and techniques of yoga can help us feel our best, both physically and mentally, no matter where we are on our journey.
I know many of you might feel like yoga isn’t for you—that you can’t do it, or that you don’t "look" like a yogi. But yoga isn’t about touching your toes or achieving the perfect pose. Every body is unique, and each of us will experience yoga differently—and that’s the beauty of it.
My goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, included, and confident enough to start their yoga journey. I want you to know that you can do this.
This is your journey, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
With lots of love,
Kat x
